You’ve joined a creative, diverse, energizing community uniting more than 6,100 faculty and staff and more than 70,000 students representing nine districts covering more than 631 square miles. Created in August 1971, Houston City College is one of the largest community colleges in the United States offering associate degrees and certificates in academic studies and career and technology programs. HCC is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate degrees.

This website is designed to provide an ongoing orientation and resource for incoming, new and current HCC administrators, staff, faculty and instructional leaders. The pages within provide important information you should consider during your first year at HCC.
