Mission Statement
Houston City College Testing Services supports academic advancement, workforce training, career development, and lifelong learning by providing a Test Center environment that allows examinees to reach their highest potential. HCC Testing Services administers tests in a professional, secure, accessible environment that maintains the highest level of academic integrity and customer service while adhering to practices that are consistent with testing industry standards. Houston City College Test Centers follow the National College Testing Association (NCTA) Professional Standards and Guidelines.
Now Open: The Global Online Testing Center
We’re excited to announce the official opening of our Testing Center on Wednesday, November 12, 2025!
The center is designed to provide a secure and supportive environment for students to complete their assessments. We’re ready to begin offering TSIA2 and ACCUPLACER ESL testing to get things underway.

- November & December Capacity: 10 students per session, Wednesdays and Thursdays for now

The ACCUPLACER ESL is used when it has been established that the student must demonstrate English proficiency prior to testing for college-level course placement.
The Advanced Algebra and Functions Math test measures your ability to solve a variety of equations and functions, including linear, quadratic, rational, radical, polynomial, and exponential.
CLEP (the College-Level Examination Program®) offers 34 exams that cover intro-level college course material.
