Four students from HCC Coleman College set a precedent as the first students from a two-year institution to attend the National School of Tropical Medicine (NSTM) at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) Summer Institute June 9-20, 2025.

Houston Community College (HCC) is launching its new LVN to ADN program at HCC Coleman College for Health Sciences, helping to address the state and national shortage of nurses.

Houston Community College (HCC) Coleman College for Health Sciences will host Simulation Day on April 25, by transforming its campus into “Coleman Hospital” so students can experience a day of collaborative, real-world learning.

Cindy has demonstrated exceptional resilience and dedication throughout her time in the MLT program. Balancing personal challenges, work, and full-time studies, she has remained positive, kind, and consistently supportive of her peers. Cindy is not only an outstanding student but also one of the most skilled phlebotomists in Houston. Her clinical excellence and professionalism left such a strong impression that her clinical site is creating a position just for her.

Maren Jensen, Dental Hygiene student at Houston Community College – Coleman College for Health Sciences, received the Omega Seminars Jan Smith Memorial Scholarship for $500 at the Texas Dental Hygiene Association conference on March 1.
