The Dental Hygiene program at Houston City College – Coleman College for Health Sciences prepares students to become entry-level dental hygienists ready to serve the oral health needs of the community. Training includes classroom instruction, hands-on labs, and clinical practice to build strong patient-care and technical skills.

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program is a four-semester program including online lectures, in-person labs and offsite clinical rotations. Classes can be on any day of the week, including the weekend. The program will let the students know in advance of their schedule.

The program trains individuals to become multi-skilled technicians capable of supporting a wide range of duties within ambulatory health care settings. Students gain essential clinical, administrative, and patient-care skills that prepare them to work effectively in fast-paced outpatient environments, medical offices, and specialty clinics. Through hands-on training and foundational instruction, graduates are equipped to contribute to high-quality patient care and the efficient operation of ambulatory health care systems.

The Medical Laboratory Technician Program prepares students for vital roles in healthcare by training them to perform laboratory tests that support the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Through hands-on laboratory experience and rigorous coursework, students develop skills in clinical chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and laboratory safety, leading to careers in hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic laboratories or continued education in the clinical sciences.

Students in the two-year Radiography Program at Houston City College learn through classroom instruction and hands-on training in state-of-the-art labs at the Coleman Health Science Center. The program builds the technical, clinical, and patient-care skills needed for entry into the radiologic technology profession.
