Through the study of past experiences, students gain insight into the forces that shape the world today and develop skills in critical thinking, analysis, and interpretation.

History, A.A.
History is a teacher of what can be. Experience defines the possible and history recounts the centuries of experience unknowable from personal observation. Students may earn one Associate of Arts in one of two specializations (Tracks) by completing the requirements for the chosen specialization
History courses include American History core courses such as United States History, Texas History, African American History and Mexican American History as well as non-American history courses such as Western Civilization and World Civilization which count toward the Languages, Philosophy and Culture core.
